Kate Gehret, M.S. - Psychotherapist

Welcome!  My name is Kate Gehret and I am a psychotherapist with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling.  My offices are located in Doylestown Pennsylvania where I offer couples counseling and individual psychotherapy for adults, children, and adolescents.  I also serve as a consulting therapist in Wilmington, DE at Delaware Guidance Services where I work with clients ages 4-21 and their families. 

My philosophy is based on a humanistic approach which serves to honor the client’s unique gifts and strengths.  In addition to offering individual therapy, I lead group therapy meetings and psycho-educational workshops with topics ranging from parenting, school anxiety, and ADHD to depression, panic disorders, and LGBT-related issues.

When working with children, I find that play therapy provides an excellent environment for helping children learn to overcome their struggles.  Children communicate most effectively through play and this approach serves to help the child communicate and express thoughts and feelings.
